Google Mobile as a menu bar application

Ever wanted a quick way of checking your GMail or Feed items in Google Reader on your mac? The answer is simple: Fluid. Fluid is an app to create instances of Webkit to use as a wrapper for web applications. This by itself is very useful. But if you combine two features of Fluid you can have all your favorite iPhone Web Apps as a menu bar item on your mac!

My favorite menu bar items are now Hahlo, Brightkite and a Dutch TV Guide.

First; download Fluid. Second; watch the screen cast I made to create Google Mobile in your menu bar.

Don’t have a clue where to find iPhone Web Apps? Apple has a nice directory to start with: Apple Web Apps.
